Nektare's music is a unique style of rock with a juicy undercurrent of blues, funk, soul and psychedelia. Influenced by the 60's and 70's, their music has a retro vibe, with a fresh appeal. Their strongest influences are the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, and Zeppelin. Outrageous and mesmerizing in concert, their live shows captivate every audience and whip the crowd into a frenzy. They have incredible synergy as band and charisma that is undeniable. Nektare receives top billing at the best clubs in L.A. - including the Whiskey, Roxy, Key Club, Dragonfly, Hard Rock Cafe, Viper Room, and House of Blues. Naomi Nektare - Vocals/Percussion/Songwriting

Naomi Nektare's vocal capabilities are incredible, this petite beauty, belts out a deep soul that rocks you to the core. Naomi's voice has been likened to that of Janis Joplin, Joan Osborne and Grace Slick. As a front woman she is the whole package - wild, sensual and electric - the essence that is Rock Star. Naomi sees her self as the shaman, her band as the sweet soul medicine and the audience as the tribe , uniting together to rise to higher consciousness through music

Nektare, has received awards for Best New Artist, Best Live Show, Best Song-writing, Best Solo Artist, and Outstanding Psychedelic Band from Rock City News & the L.A. Music Awards. Nektare also won "Best Live Stage Show", from the prestigious Hollywood Fame Awards and first-place in the "Battle of the Bands," from R.K.O. Records, showcasing the best bands from the O.C. and L.A. area. Two Songs from their last EP have been placed in feature films-"I Want U 2 Luv Me" is the opening song for an upcoming HBO movie and "New Day" is the title song for an independent film playing in festivals world wide. This year Naomi is nominated for "Best Female Vocals" and "Best Female Front Woman." You can catch her performing with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in their hit video "Tell Me Baby"

Brandon Criswell - Bass

Nektare's Bassman has been part of the band since 2006. He hails from the corn fiels of Indiana. He came to Los angeles after college to further his career as a Visual Effects Artists. As a music affecianado he tried his hand at the guitar and drums but fell in love with the bass, it was a perfect fit. Brandon is also a webmaster and designer. He creates/designs the nektare.com website as well as all the artwork and flyers for Nektare. Brandon is also a painter, juggler, and voracious collector of vinyl. He also plays with The Midnight Deathtrap Quartet and Opium Den Radio. Currently he is in the studio co-producing the next Nektare album and just finished the visual effects for Martin Scorsces "Shutter Island" - In theatres soon.

Rich Vaccaro - Guitar

Rich Vaccaro, otherwise known as, "Richie Rockstar" has been writing and recording with Nektare since the winter of 2008. Rich, a New Jersy boy, cane to the west coast with nothing but a suitcase and a guitar, determined to show the world what he's made of He is a master of the guitar and also plays the piano, bass, dulcimer, mandolin, and slide guitar. Rock n' Roll is his life and lives in his viens. He is a true showman and knows how to command a crowd. He is also plays with Mumpo, Daniele Egnew, Whisky Road Show, and Ufoetry. Currently he's in the studio with The Pioneers as well as recording with Nektare.
